Personal Brand Ghostwriting – LinkedIn Profile, Twitter

The client is a senior IT sales executive who needed a personal brand overhaul across LinkedIn as well as the establishment of a business-focused Twitter account.  His LinkedIn provided very little insight into his background, experience or personality. Helping prospective clients to connect was key to the updates required. Following a structured interview I obtained additional details to allow me to re-write his profile information to emphasis his depth of knowledge in the field of IT and the benefits working with him could provide to a senior executive with an IT mandate. In addition to content writing, I also undertook a professional photo shoot to obtain appropriate professional images to use in his personal brand update.

Results

Emphasising the client’s personality, experience and knowledge through creative copywriting together with key images from the professional photo shoot created a warm, approachable personal brand that resonated with current and potential customers.

My client was an executive level professional in the IT industry, looking for career development and their next opportunity.  We discussed what the ideal role would be including industry, responsibilities, permanent or contract. My client was looking for a senior management role, with a team, in the food manufacturing industry.

My client needed a complete overhaul of their LinkedIn profile, an updated resume and cover letter that was clearly positioned for the roles they were targeting.  I also recommended a series of blog post that would highlight the particular skills and knowledge they had attained in their career, positioning them as the ideal candidate even before the interview.  A content plan was developed through my structured interview process to ensure the voice and topics were consistent with my client’s voice, experience and knowledge.
